On a physical eBay card, gently scratch off the security coating on the back to reveal the redemption code. For an e-code, click "Redeem Now" in your eBay gift card email to see the code. Add the full code or a clear photo in the app, and don't apply it on eBay first.

eBay gift cards come as physical cards and digital e-codes, and each is issued for one country. US cards work only on eBay.com, Canadian cards need an eBay account with a Canadian address, and Australian cards work only on eBay.com.au. Check in the app which countries and types are accepted, then pick the ones matching your card.

An eBay card can be declined if its code has already been used, since eBay links a card to the first account that uses it, or if the code is damaged, unclear or missing digits. Make sure the country and card type you pick match your card. If it's declined, you'll see the reason in the app.
