Sell your Visa gift card for naira

The live rate for Visa gift cards is shown in the CardElite app, so check it there before you trade. Have your card's issuing country, format (physical card or emailed e-gift card) and exact balance ready, so you can pick the matching card type, enter the right amount and review your trade summary before you confirm.

Visa gift cards are issued by financial institutions in many countries. US Vanilla Visa cards work only with US-based merchants, while some Canadian Visa gift cards say "Valid only in Canada". They come as physical cards or virtual e-gift cards sent by email. Pick the matching country and card type in the app, and check there which are accepted.

Vanilla lists an unactivated physical card and a mistyped card number, Valid Thru date or CVV as common reasons its cards get declined. Its e-gift cards are active from purchase. A balance that is already spent also causes problems. Double-check these before you trade. If a card is declined, the app shows you the reason.

Visa gift cards are not reloadable, but the remaining balance stays on the card after purchases. Before selling, check the exact balance on the issuer's website or toll-free number printed on the back of the card (for Vanilla Visa, balance.VanillaGift.com), then enter that amount. Check in the app whether partly used cards are accepted.
